Desert Get-A-Way

The second weekend in May, we took the kids for a little get-a-way to Palm Desert. We stayed at the Marriott Resort. It's the Marriott where my parents have their time share but we've never actually stayed on the resort side. It's enormous! We had a great weekend. We spent our time swimming at the pool, hitting up the mini sized golf course, enjoyed dinner at PF Changs, ice cream afterward and browsing through one of the very few bookstores left. The kids also loved the boat ride around the lake that surrounds the hotel. Maddie was not happy about having to wear the lifejacket but she quickly got over it and wanted to go again.

These weekend adventures are such fun for us and our little family. It's nice to get away from it all and just spend time together. The kids are at such fun ages right now as well. Can't wait to plan our next one!
