L.A. for the day!

On Saturday we went to see Yo Gabba Gabba! perform live at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The show didn't start until 2:00 and Mikos suggested we make a day of it and take Maddie to the American Girl doll store. What a great idea! Maddie picked out her first "look alike" doll. She named her "Kelly" and she loves her. Such fun!!
While Maddie and I browsed at the American Girl doll store, Mike and William did a little shopping of their own. William picked out this cool motorcycle guy. Lucky for us that purchase was only $4.95!
I have to say that Yo Gabba Gabba was pretty awesome!!! They put on a great show. Very action packed with confetti and balloons falling from the ceiling. Super fun. The kids loved it. We had a great day in Los Angeles.

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is such a great holiday. I love spending the day with my family and thinking about all of the people and things I am so grateful for. I am so thankful for my beautiful children and amazing husband. I love them SO very much and am SO grateful to God for blessing my life with them all. I am also so thankful for all of my loving and wonderful family... my Mom and Dad, Amy and Bob, Rachel, Andrew, Mike and Jen, Matthew, Jack and Josh, Mike and Lynda, Sonja and Russell and baby Lucas. I feel so, so blesed. God is good.

William's Baptism

On Sunday, November 21, we baptized William Michael Ciriza at Light of the Canyon UMC. Pastor Jon Waterson performed the baptism and it was perfect. William did great. He stood nicely (for the most part) and when Pastor Jon took his hand to walk him around the church, he smiled and waved like a little star. It was a moving ceremony for me. Wil is definitely our "second" child. He is almost four and finally baptized. :)

William's Thanksgiving Program

William had his first Thanksgiving Program on Friday. It was adorable. After the singing and short performance in the church, they had a big Thanksgiving feast. Our little man is growing up. William loves to sing. His favorite is "This is the day". That was the opening song.
William and his "girlfriend" Maddie.
We ran into sister on the playground when we were headed back for the feast. Maddie's class had a Thanksgiving party as well.
Yum! William gobbled up the turkey, potatoes and jello.

Fancy Nancy Tea

Maddie and I went to a special tea this morning. It was a "Fancy Nancy Tea" hosted by the Jr League and the illustrator of the Fancy Nancy books was there! It was so cool. We were invited to the event by Maddie's new friend from school Alyssa and her mom. What a special treat. We didn't really know much about what we were showing up for and what a surprise it was! We are big Fancy Nancy fans and it was such a cute Mother/Daughter treat. They gave all the little girls frilly boas, a tea cup/saucer and fancy bracelet at the door and we enjoyed "tea" and mini sandwiches and muffins. Maddie and Alyssa sipping their "tea" (lemonade) like little ladies.

Our Little Golfer

Mike's been taking William to hit golf balls at the driving range. He has his own little set of clubs and it's been a fun thing for the boys to do together. Mike said William is getting pretty good!

Camelot

We were going to take the kids bowling Friday night but by the time we finished eating dinner out, it got to be a bit late and we wondered what the crowd would be like at the bowling alley. We didn't think it would be exactly family friendly so we turned into Camelot instead. Camelot is a big arcade, miniature golf and lazer tag place and it's been around forever. Mike remembers going there when he was a kid. It was a hit for all and they even had a miniature bowling alley so Maddie and Wil got throw some strikes too (well, kind of). Skee-ball and air hockey were big hits of the night as well. It was a really fun time.

#1 Fan

I've always said William is Mikos #1 fan but I have to say, he's been on the biggest daddy kick ever lately. It's so cute. Wil tells me, "Mommy, I wuv you a little and I wuv Daddy ALOT. " If I wasn't so secure, I might actually take this to heart and have my feelings hurt. But I don't. I especially love it when William is on the potty and this obsession for Daddy takes over and he insists on Daddy helping him. :)
Sunday was William and Mikos "day-o-fun". They went to the driving range to hit golf balls and than they were off to a Laker game. Maddie and I came back from doing our thing and the boys were just about to leave. Apparently William decided he wanted to wear a tie to the game.
Mikos snapped a bunch of photos of their night but apparently William was acting totally silly and would not open his eyes in practically any of the photos. They were all so funny!

Halloween 2010

What a fun night Halloween was! It was a bit of a blur but TONS of fun. The kids were so excited and as soon as they put their costumes on, I couldn't seem to get them to hold still for a good photo for two seconds. I can tell you this, the evening involved a giant pot of chili, salad and cornbread for the adults, an attempted early dinner of chicken nuggets and fries for the kids, all of our family hanging out (Grandma Jeanne, Grandmacita, Papa, Soosa, Russell and baby Lucas), the prettiest hot pink Supergirl I've ever seen, a handsome little boxer, a darling circus monkey, the sweet sound of "trick-or-treat", "thank you", and pumpkins full of CANDY!!
