AristoCats!

Oh.my.goodness...I am gushing over Maddie and her performance in the AristoCats last Friday night!
She NAILED it! She played the part of the goose "Amelia" and her best friend Reagan Adams played her counterpart "Abigail". They were absolutely adorable! They had several lines and a fun little duet and they were outstanding! Both of them were so into it and really stole the show in my humble opinion. Mike and I couldn't be prouder. I was a nervous wreck for her but she proved that I didn't need to be nervous. She had FUN and did an outstanding job. Love this beautiful, confident girl she is growing into. She is just awesome.
Reagan, Brooke, Alexis and Maddie.
Russell, Lucas and Jake came to show support for Maddie. So cute.
Maddie's biggest fan. Truly.

Go Fish!

The entire second grade class at Canyon Rim put on the play "Go Fish" this week. It was the most adorable show! We thoroughly enjoyed watching William sing and dance in the chorus of this sweet, little musical. William had a great spot right up front so we could see his every move. A couple of people actually commented on what a good little dancer William was. He really got into it! It was so fun to see all the different costumes that people came up with too. The kids worked hard in rehearsals and it paid off. They were awesome!
Grandma and Grandpa were lucky enough to be able to attend too. We were so happy they came to show support for William. We all went to Island's for a late celebration dinner after! It was a FUN night!

Surprise award!

We are so proud of Maddie! Her teacher Mrs. Kim awarded her with the Excellence in Social Studies award for the second trimester. She had no idea she was getting the award. Mrs. Kim e-mailed us to let us know and invited us to attend the Awards Assembly to see her get it. She was so surprised to see us in the audience. We were so proud and so happy to see her recognized for her hard work.
Go Maddie!

Go Cardinals!

Baseball is in full force! William is playing Single A, machine pitch, baseball this season and he is on the Cardinals team. He has Coach Steve Hartfelder again this year. Coach Steve is a big fan of William and has managed to get him on his team three years in a row. He is an awesome coach and William is having a great time playing ball!

William and Larry Jr.
I think the pictures say it all. William LIVES for these weekends with his Dad. He adores his dad and he cherishes every second he gets with him. I am so blessed to be married to such a great man who is such an awesome dad to our kids. I love him so, so much.

Roughing it

Maddie and Mike had their Indian Princess Winter "Camp Out" in February up at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. This is the second year they've gone to the hotel and Maddie absolutely loves it. I can't believe the hotel allows them back! From what I hear, the girls rule the resort for the weekend. It's such a fun weekend of scavenger hunting, swimming, getting manicures, watching movies, playing poker, staying up until midnight and hiking with their dads and friends. I love the memories Maddie is making with Mike and her friends in the tribe. It's so cool.

The boy turns 8!

Our baby turned 8 on February 16. I just can't believe that he is 8. He is 8 and he is awesome. The love we have for this boy is beyond describing. He is sweet and funny, smart and athletic, fast and crazy, sassy and silly, and just the cutest and most handsomest boy we know. We love him so much.
To celebrate his birthday, William invited two of his best friends David (from school) and Gavin (from across the street) for a sleepover on Sunday night before his actual birthday which fell on President's day this year. Mike took them to a Duck's game where they sat in a suite and met a famous surfer (I don't remember his name).
At home, they ate sour gummy worms, played Life and watched a movie (The Boxcar Children) before crashing around 11:30 for the night.
After breakfast and romping around the house for awhile, we went to Sky Zone for some trampoline fun. It was a great time celebrating William!
