Harvest Festival

Tonight was the annual Harvest Festival at Maddie and William's school. It was a fun night and while I was working the booth for Maddie's kindergarten class, Maddie was winning a new pet with Grandma Jeanne--- a GOLDFISH! Eek-- goldfish? We have cats I said. Of course William wanted one too so we now have TWO new Goldfish swimming around a glass vase on my coffee table right now. It was a really nice night. The kids loved the games and prizes and candy and playing and it is a great fundraiser for the school. We will see if our new pets last until the morning...

Ten Years

October 14 was our 10 year wedding anniversary. To celebrate, Mike and I went to New York for a long weekend. We were fortunate to have my Mom and Sister fly out to take care of the kiddos while we were gone. Knowing they were being well cared for, Mikos and I had a great time just being together and enjoying the city. It was a great weekend. We were total tourists... wearing our walking shoes and snapping cheesy photos left and right... it was awesome.

Storytime Live!

We were so excited when Dad came home one day with a bunch of tickets to Nickelodeon's Storytime Live at Nokia Theatre in downtown LA! We invited our good friends the Prince's and Hunt's and enjoyed a fun show complete with Nai Hao Kailan (sp?), Backyardigan's, Wonderpets and our all time favorite, Dora the Explorer! It was a super fun show and as always, it was so great to see all of our friends.Love these kid shots-- Fletch, Fallon, Maddie, Lucy and William-- SO CUTE!

Face Painting?

William did some "painting" one Friday afternoon when he was home with Norma. I'm not quite sure how the paintbrush made it to his face but sure looks like he had fun!

Lucas turns ONE!

It's hard to believe a year has gone by since our precious baby cousin/nephew Lucas was born. Maddie and I were reminiscing about that night on our way to his birthday dinner at "Goofy's Kitchen". Maddie was remembering how we went down to the hospital that night and got to see him moments after he came into the world. What a great addition to our family he is! We love him so much and have had so much fun watching him grow and develop into the adorable ONE YEAR OLD he is!

Fall Campout

Mikos and Maddie had their Indian Princess Fall Campout this past weekend. They headed up to the Yucaipa campsite straight after Maddie got home from school. After having to set up their new tent in the dark, Mike said he'd be sure to leave a little earlier next year. Despite the hectic start, they had a GREAT weekend. Maddie's best friend Jordyn is in her tribe this year and it looks like they had such fun together. When I asked Maddie what her favorite part of the weekend was, she said, "Getting to hang out with Daddy." That is truly what it is all about.

Rock Climbing

I'm backing up a couple of weeks to the first fun Daddy/Daughter Indian Princess outing of the year which was ROCK CLIMBING. I finally got the pictures out of Mikos' camara and it looks like they had a great time. I can't believe how HIGH Maddie climbed! Go Maddie!

Chodo

I had to do a quick post of Jackson playing with his good friend Chodo who lives next door. I've been meaning to snap some pics of these two playing for awhile now and this afternoon, I got the opportunity. Like William said today, "Chodo is Jackson's best friend". So true.

T-Ball!

We signed William up for his first T-Ball class. Mikos took him yesterday. It's an 8:30am class which is quite a commitment for a Saturday morning. William was so excited and Mike said he loved it. I couldn't wait for them to get home to hear all about it and I love the pictures Mikos got. So cute!
