Kids Spring Break

The kids had the week after Easter off for Spring Break. We didn't have much planned because of an upcoming weekend to Palm Desert so it was a pretty mellow week. I did leave work early that Thursday and took them to the Discovery Science Center for the afternoon. Maddie has been a couple of times with Mike and their Indian Princess tribe but William and I had never been. Maddie showed us the ropes. She knew that place like the back of her hand. We had a fun afternoon exploring the different exhibits- lots of cool, interactive activities for the kids to try out and get their hands dirty doing. Pretty neat place. Ice coooold!
There was a fun little play store that both Maddie and William loved. It reminded me a bit of Pretend City. William especially loved playing there. I couldn't get him to leave. It was at the end of our day so I found a nice spot to sit down and watch them play. They served me up a few "meals". Very cute.
I give Pretend City two thumbs up! Maddie and William do too!!

Spring Baseball

We love the Angels and we enjoyed our first game of the season in late April. It was a Tuesday evening game and it was so nice to be out at the ballpark. We hope to take in a few more games throughout the season. Fun family times.

Easter Sunday!

Easter Sunday started off with Maddie and William waking up at the crack (well, just before 7am) excited to see if the Easter Bunny had paid them a visit. Sure enough, colorful Easter eggs were left all over the house and Easter baskets were hidden for the kids to find. After they checked out their goodies and ate a breakfast of Fun Dip, we headed to church.

We spent the afternoon with our family at the Flores' family Easter celebration. It was such a nice day and the kids had a great time. Larry and Helen had an electric train and western town built in their backyard. What a neat play area! Maddie loved the train! She couldn't get enough of it.
Of course the celebration couldn't be complete without an Easter Egg Hunt! A great Easter was had by all!
